BIOGRAPHY

Maria Markopoulos-Koffa was born in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Deree–Pierce College in Athens receiving her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. Following that she studied Fine Arts at Chelsea Art School in London and later also attended the lithography course of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, in Paris. Maria Markopoulos is a mother of two children. She has travelled all over the world gathering valuable experience from which she is inspired. Periodically Maria has lived apart from Greece in Germany, England and France. She now shares her time between Athens and New York but prefers to work in her Atelier in Athens. In the summertime one can find her on her favorite Greek Island Tzia. Her latest work is dedicated to New York, a metropolis she greatly loves.
