BIOGRAPHY
Stelios Mavromatis was born in Ptolemaida in 1930. He is permanent resident of Thessaloniki and a member of the Association of Visual Arts of Greece, and of the Arts Committee of the National Theater of Northern Greece. He has been teaching painting to children successfully for many years using his own method of speed learning. He is responsible for television and radio broadcasts on art.His works are found in the National Art Gallery of Greece, the Art Gallery of Cyprus, Nioosia, the Art Gallery of the Association of Macedonian Studies, the Art Gallery of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the greek ministries of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Sciences and Macedonia - Thrace, as well as in private collections in Greece and abroad.
