"Fenêtre (Window)" (1912-1913) by the French painter Robert Delaunay (1885-1941) is a seminal work of his Orphism movement. Delaunay was a pioneer of abstract art, known for his use of color to create form and rhythm. This painting, with its fragmented circular forms and dynamic interplay of light, captures the sensation of looking out a window and experiencing the vibrant, shifting light of the city.
