"Composition no. 61" (1939) by the American artist Stuart Walker (1900-1961) is a striking work of American Modernism. Walker was an abstract artist known for his geometric compositions that explored the relationship between color, form, and space. This painting, with its clean lines and a powerful sense of structured harmony, is a beautiful example of his work and his interest in non-objective art.
