"Composition with Yellow, Blue, Black and Light Blue" (1929) by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) is a beautiful example of his mature style. Mondrian was a pioneer of abstract art and a key figure in the De Stijl movement. This painting, with its grid of horizontal and vertical lines and a limited palette, reduces art to its fundamental geometric structure, creating a sense of dynamic harmony and order.
