"The Bird Catchers" (1748) by the French painter François Boucher (1703-1770) is a delightful example of the Rococo style. Boucher, a favorite of Madame de Pompadour, was celebrated for his decorative and charming scenes of pastoral life and mythology. This painting, with its soft colors and whimsical subject matter, perfectly captures the playful and elegant spirit of the Rococo era.
