"Proun 99" (ca. 1923-1925) by the Russian artist El Lissitzky (1890-1941) is a key work of Constructivism. Lissitzky developed a series of abstract paintings he called "Prouns" (Project for the Affirmation of the New), which explored the dynamic relationship between geometric forms and space. This piece, with its intersecting lines and floating planes, is a testament to his innovative vision for a new, functional art form.
