"Judgment of Paris" (ca 1640) by the Italian painter Alessandro Turchi (c. 1578–1649) is a classical work from the Baroque period. Turchi was a master of dramatic compositions and rich, tenebrist lighting. This painting, which depicts the famous mythological story, is a fine example of his ability to create dynamic scenes with a great sense of theatricality and emotional depth.
