Art Basel opens the operation. EURAN continues the work.
EURAN’s Art Basel 2026 Mandate Activation starts with the Basel fair and continues wherever the best acquisition result requires it.
Art Basel takes place at Messe Basel, 18–21 June, with VIP preview days 16–17 June.
Basel is the immediate starting point: a concentrated moment of visibility, gallery access, artistic orientation and market intelligence. EURAN uses this momentum to organize the mandate and continues the work through the professional channel that produces the best result.
The flagship week of the international art world
Art Basel in Basel (official website) is the most influential meeting point of the global art world — a short, decisive moment where leading galleries, collectors, museums, advisors, institutions and private wealth converge.
Since its founding in 1970, Art Basel has evolved into a global cultural institution with editions in Basel, Miami Beach, Hong Kong, Paris and, most recently, Qatar. Each fair shapes its region’s art ecosystem, but Basel remains the flagship — the edition that concentrates the highest level of international attention.
The fair does not publish a total turnover figure. Market visibility comes from gallery‑reported sales, institutional acquisitions and public reporting during the week. Basel is one of the rare environments where important works, serious buyers and decisive transactions become visible within a short and concentrated timeframe.
The 2026 edition of Art Basel in Basel brings together:
Over 290 top galleries.
More than 4,000 artists.
VIP Preview 16–17 June 2026 · Public Access 18–21 June 2026.
The next major activation in the Art Basel cycle is Art Basel Paris, 23–25 October 2026,
taking place at the Grand Palais in the heart of the French capital. The Paris edition builds bridges
with France’s cultural industries and radiates throughout the city, embedded in one of Europe’s most
significant cultural ecosystems.
A dedicated mandate inside the permanent EURAN system
Art Basel Basel 2026 is a specific activation of EURAN Art Acquisition & Deployment — EURAN’s permanent operation for sourcing, selecting, acquiring and deploying art.
Basel is the immediate catalyst, not the final deadline. The practical mandate structure, activation process and professional framework are detailed below.
For the permanent year-round framework, visit: EURAN Art Acquisition & Deployment.
Mandate execution across remote, Basel and gallery channels
- translates the client’s brief into an art acquisition and deployment orientation;
- reviews relevant Art Basel, gallery, artist and artwork information;
- contacts galleries or studies works where appropriate;
- reports observations and recommendations to the client for decision.
Art Basel 2026 Mandate Activation
Mandate Activation Fee
- activation of EURAN’s professional intervention for the client;
- review of relevant Art Basel, First Look, gallery, artist and artwork information;
- integration of the client brief into acquisition intelligence and executive reporting;
- gallery communication, Basel review or post-fair European gallery follow-up where required;
- acquisition orientation and deployment strategy.
The mandate starts with Art Basel in Basel but is not limited to the fair’s public dates. Art Basel provides the immediate concentration of galleries, artworks and market visibility; EURAN continues the work wherever the best result requires it.
In addition: 15% success commission and/or origination fee on artwork acquisitions or other economic value generated through the activated mandate, according to written agreement.
Artwork purchase prices, shipping, insurance, taxes and third-party professional costs remain separate.
From fair intelligence to acquisition and deployment
Art Basel is used as a powerful source of visibility and orientation. The EURAN operation may begin through the fair, continue through selected galleries after the public days, and develop into acquisition, placement, deployment, reproduction, cultural identity or institutional strategy according to the client’s objectives.
The client does not purchase access to a visit. The client activates a professional mandate through which EURAN filters artistic opportunities and connects them to real environments, collections, corporate identities, vessels, buildings, hospitality spaces, real-estate projects or institutional programs.
Request the agreement and payment instructions
To activate an Art Basel 2026 Mandate, the client sends EURAN a short written brief indicating:
- intended purpose: private collection, corporate collection, vessel, office, hotel, residence, real-estate project, foundation or other environment;
- preferred artistic directions, if already defined;
- indicative acquisition budget range;
- urgency and preferred execution mode: remote review, gallery contact, in-situ Basel review or post-fair European gallery follow-up.
Upon receipt, EURAN sends the Mandate Activation Agreement and payment instructions.
The mandate becomes active upon signature of the agreement and receipt of the €35,000 Mandate Activation Fee on EURAN’s professional account.
All artwork reservations, negotiations or purchases remain subject to the client’s prior written approval.
Confidentiality, approvals and professional limits
Full selections, gallery directions and acquisition leads are provided within the activated mandate.
Legal, tax, customs, investment, insurance, authentication and conservation matters remain separate professional fields, which EURAN may coordinate with the seller when required.
