BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Zakinthos (the Ionian island) in 1956. He studied in the Fine Arts School of Athens from 1976 to 1982, having as his teachers Giannis Pappas, Theodoros Papagianis and George Nicolaidis in sculpture and George Georgiou in pottery. He graduated "with honors" in 1982. His graduations work has been exhibited in the halls of Fine Arts School of Athens. From the first year as a student, he worked creatively alone or with other famous Greek sculptors and painters and his work has been exhibited in seven personal and many group exhibitions. Since 1992 is teaching as a specialist professor in Fine Arts School of Athens, in professor Theodoros Papagianis class. His sculptures are in the National Gallery, in the Goulandri Natural history museum in Kifissia, in the Ethnological museum of Athens, In the Modern Art museum of Goulandris in Andros, in the modern Art museum of Ion Bores, in the Pieridis Gallery and in many personal collections. He is living and working in Athens. ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ΣΗΜΕΙΩΜΑ ΚΩΣΤΑΣ ΔΙΚΕΦΑΛΟΣ Γεννήθηκε στη Ζάκυνθο το 1956. Το 1963 εγκαθίσταται στην Αθήνα. Από το 1972-74 οργανώνει και εκθέτει ζωγραφική και κατασκευές. Ασχολείται με τον αθλητισμό και το 1972 είναι μέλος της Εθνικής Ελλάδος Εφήβων στην ποδηλασία. Το 1976 εισάγεται στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών των Αθηνών, όπου υπήρξε υπότροφος και σπουδάζει γλυπτική με δασκάλους τους Γιάννη Παππά, Θόδωρο Παπαγιάννη και Γιώργο Νικολαΐδη. Σπουδάζει επίσης στα εργαστήρια εφαρμοσμένων τεχνών, μάρμαρο - μέταλλο - ξύλο, κεραμική - χαλκογλυπτική και γυψοτεχνική καθώς και Θεωρητικές και Ιστορικές σπουδές. Τελειώνει τις σπουδές του με άριστα το 1982 και η διπλωματική του εργασία εκτίθεται τιμητικά στις αίθουσες της ΑΣΚΤ. Το 1980, φοιτητής ακόμα, εκτελεί τις γλυπτικές διακοσμήσεις των δύο (2) από τις τέσσερις (4) υπόγειων διαβάσεων της Λεωφόρου Συγγρού. Το 1981 μελετά την αρχαία Ελληνική Τέχνη ταξιδεύοντας σε όλη την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο και ενημερώνεται για το σύγχρονο καλλιτεχνικό γίγνεσθαι ταξιδεύοντας στην Γαλλία και το Βέλγιο. Το 1984-86, σε συνεργασία με τον δάσκαλό του Θ. Παπαγιάννη, εκτελεί σε μάρμαρο μεγάλη γλυπτική σύνθεση στην κατοικία του Κ. Γκάκη, το μνημείο του ΚΚΕ στον Περισσό, το μνημείο Ηρώων Πολυτεχνείου στα Γιάννενα και το μνημείο Εθνικής Αντίστασης στο Βόλο. Ταξιδεύει για ενημέρωση (πάνω στη σύγχρονη Τέχνη) το 1985 στο Σικάγο (Η.Π.Α.). Το 1986 στην Ιταλία, Ισπανία, Γαλλία, Αγγλία και το 1989 στη Γερμανία. Το 1986 συμμετέχει στο Α' συμπόσιο γλυπτικής των Ιωαννίνων, το 1987 εκτελεί γλυπτό στον υπαίθριο χώρο του ορειβατικού Καταφυγίου στην Πάρνηθα και το 1988 συμμετέχει ως εκπρόσωπος της Ελλάδας (εκπροσωπώντας την Ελλάδα) στο Β' Βαλκανικό συμπόσιο γλυπτικής που έγινε στον Βόλο. Το 1990 συμμετέχει στο Β’ διεθνές συμπόσιο γλυπτικής στο Fujimi Muchi στην Ιαπωνία. Στη δίμηνη παραμονή του στην Ιαπωνία, έχει την ευκαιρία να επισκεφτεί το Τόκιο, τη Γιοκοχάμα καθώς και άλλες σημαντικές πόλεις της. Το 1991 ταξιδεύει (και πάλι στις πόλεις της Ευρώπης Ιταλία, Γαλλία, Βέλγιο, Ολλανδία) και το 1993 στην Αγγλία. Το 1992 εκπροσωπεί την Ελλάδα στην παγκόσμια έκθεση που γίνεται στη Σεβίλλη (Ισπανία) EXPO '92 και συμμετέχει στο Α' διεθνές συμπόσιο γλυπτικής στη Θάσο. Το 1996 παίρνει μέρος στον 1ο Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Γλυπτικής, που γίνεται στην πόλη Fukuoka (Kitakiushu) στην Ιαπωνία όπου αποσπά το Α' βραβείο. Μετέχει επίσης στο Β' συμπόσιο γλυπτικής των Ιωαννίνων. Το 1983 συνεργάζεται με το Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας Γουλανδρή στην Κηφισιά και το 1985-1990 με το Εθνολογικό Μουσείο Αθηνών. Από το 1992 έως το 1998 διδάσκει γλυπτική στην ΑΣΚΤ Αθηνών, στο εργαστήριο του Θ. Παπαγιάννη, ως ειδικός επιστήμων. Διατηρεί δύο εργαστήρια γλυπτικής στους Ζωγράφου (Αθήνα) και στο Μαρκόπουλο Αττικής. Έχει τιμηθεί με πολλά βραβεία στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Έργα του βρίσκονται στην συλλογή γλυπτών της ΑΣΚΤ, στην Εθνική Πινακοθήκη, στο Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού και Επιστημών, στο Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών, στο Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης του Ιωνά Βορρέ, στην Πινακοθήκη Πιερίδη, στο Μουσείο Μοντέρνας Τέχνης Γουλανδρή, στην Άνδρο, στο Πνευματικό Ίδρυμα της Εθνικής Τράπεζας, στο Τελλόγλειο Μουσείο Θεσσαλονίκης, στο Υπαίθριο Μουσείο Μοντέρνας Τέχνης Fujimi στην Ιαπωνία, καθώς και σε πολλές ιδιωτικές συλλογές στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
