01 · The event
International couture at the Athens Concert Hall
The Athens event brought together Penelope Zagora, Claude Montana, Cerruti, Susanne Wiebe, Lars Wallin and Zandra Rhodes. Designers presented current creations and selected earlier pieces; special garments inspired by ancient Greece were also created for the event.
The event took place under the aegis of the Greek National Tourism Organisation and the Municipalities of Athens and Paris. It also had a philanthropic dimension, with proceeds directed to the Athens Municipality's Epilogi drug-rehabilitation centre.
EURAN's role was specific: EURAN organised the Swedish participation with Lars Wallin.
