01 · THE CURRENT ROUTE
Community-led experimentation through one focused pilot
Connect NEB supports organisations rooted in their communities that want to test new ideas, strengthen participation and prototype approaches inspired by New European Bauhaus values.
Connect the community to a real local setting
The pilot is anchored in an accessible cultural, civic, institutional or other appropriate local space where participation becomes visible.
Add a European reciprocal dimension
The local community exchanges content, interpretation and experience with a corresponding cultural community in another European country.
02 · EURAN PROPOSAL
CULTURAL POINT 001™
Cultural Point 001™ is EURAN's proposed first demonstration of a replicable European cultural-participation model.
An established local community of people interested in art is connected to a real place and to another cultural community elsewhere in Europe. Together they test a reciprocal programme of artistic selection, interpretation, presentation, participation and exchange.
The objective is deliberately concrete: prove one Cultural Point, document how it works and create a methodology capable of replication.
03 · WHAT A HOST ART CLUB IS ASKED TO DO
A defined community-host role for the Connect NEB pilot
The current project is being structured around a practical host-community role rather than formal consortium membership.
Indicative host-community commitment in the current proposal
- Mobilise a local Art Club community of approximately 35 members.
- Participate in a short training and co-curation programme planned for February–April 2027.
- Aim for at least 25 members to complete the programme, with attendance documented and the agreed participation evidence collected.
- Take part in a reciprocal cultural exchange with a community in another European country.
- Support one public presentation in an appropriate local cultural or exhibition space.
For this Connect NEB submission, EURAN is the sole applicant and grant holder. A selected Art Club participates as a community host / stakeholder and does not become a grant beneficiary merely by expressing interest. The precise role, support and responsibilities of any selected host are confirmed with EURAN before the organisation is named as participating in the proposal.
04 · ART CLUBS
Communities of people interested in art
Within this project, Art Clubs means organised member communities of people interested in art and culture: Art Clubs, Kunstforeninger, Konstföreningar, Friends organisations and comparable cultural membership structures.
The target is not a professional artists' association. Artists can naturally participate in activities, but the community node itself is based on art-interested members and audiences.
05 · CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Local identity becomes the material of European exchange
Different places
Each community brings its own city, region, cultural environment and local relationships.
Different perspectives
Artistic content, interpretation, cultural references, histories and community priorities vary from place to place.
Difference becomes connection
The model does not standardise local identities. It creates an infrastructure through which those differences can be exchanged and understood.

Connect NEB
Cultural Point 001™ is being structured as a focused one-beneficiary, community-led prototype: one applicant, one host community, one local place, a defined participatory process and a European exchange dimension.
Co-create NEB
Co-create NEB is a different programme configuration requiring a 2–4 partner consortium including a municipality, region or affiliated entity. EURAN may use this route for future larger place-based projects, but it is not the route of the current submission.
07 · REPLICATION
From Cultural Point 001™ to a European project architecture
The first pilot is not designed to activate hundreds of locations at once. It is designed to establish a working protocol: how an existing cultural community is identified, how a place is activated, how a European exchange is structured, how participation is documented and how the result can be transferred elsewhere.
That protocol can then be replicated through EURAN European Art Club Exchange™ and the wider 1,000 Cultural Points architecture.

08 · WHY EURAN
Existing experience + European project architecture
Scandinavian Art Clubs
EURAN has longstanding experience with Scandinavian Art Clubs and organised communities of people interested in art, dating back to the late 1980s.

The initiative is developed by Alexandre Mimoglou through the combined perspective of artistic practice, architecture, design and European cultural cooperation.
Cultural responsibility
The programme also forms part of EURAN's cultural-responsibility and CSR/ESG-related activities, seeking practical European opportunities for cultural participation and exchange.
09 · PARTICIPATION
Expressions of interest are being reviewed now
EURAN is identifying a selected host Art Club / art-interested community for the current Cultural Point 001™ proposal and for subsequent European project opportunities.
Selection is not automatic. EURAN reviews each expression of interest against the requirements of the current proposal, including relevance, eligibility, community capacity, location, available local resources and the organisation's ability to support the proposed participation targets. Only organisations subsequently confirmed by EURAN are presented as participating hosts.
