EIT Urban Mobility · SME Market Expansion Open Call 2027
What the call wants
The call is mono-beneficiary. The applicant must satisfy the current SME and legal-entity conditions and provide the required registrations and evidence.
A real end client must commit to testing and demonstrating the solution. The end client is essential to deployment but is not a co-beneficiary.
The call is for market expansion, not early ideation. ART MARINAS™ must evidence the required maturity, customer history, deployment capability and relevant mobility KPIs.
OFFICIAL CALL FACTS · VERIFIED 11 OCTOBER 2026
The official call allocates €600,000 in total, with around 10 projects expected and €60,000 for each selected SME.
The applicant is one SME supported by a public or private end client committed to testing and demonstrating the solution.
The call opened on 9 October 2026 and closes on 1 December 2026 at 17:00 CET.
What EURAN proposes
ART MARINAS™ is conceived as a waterfront-mobility and user-experience system, not as an art decoration project. It addresses the movement and legibility of complex marina and waterfront environments: pedestrian arrival, multimodal transitions, accessibility, wayfinding, movement between city and marina, visitor flows, staff/service circulation and mobility information.
Art, design and place identity may strengthen the user experience, but mobility performance must remain measurable and central.
Why the marina is an urban laboratory
Visitors, residents, staff and service providers move through multiple arrival modes and thresholds.
Berths, terminals, retail, parking, public areas, services and adjacent neighbourhoods require clear and inclusive navigation.
Older users, disabled users, families, visitors and international travellers require understandable, safe and inclusive movement systems.
Flows, dwell points, journey friction, wayfinding failures and user feedback can create measurable performance indicators.
Better access and movement can improve the performance and attractiveness of mixed-use waterfront developments.
A validated system can be adapted across marinas, ports, waterfront districts and other complex visitor environments.
Current relationship field
EURAN's existing marina and waterfront relationships create a practical route to end-client discovery. Potential operators, developers, associations or waterfront authorities can be approached first for the commercial relevance of the system and, where eligible and interested, for a formal EIT Urban Mobility commitment letter.
No company, marina or authority is presented as a confirmed end client until written commitment is obtained.
Commercial market-expansion logic
Define the mobility problem, baseline, intervention, user groups and measurable outcomes.
Document operational results, customer value, user response, deployment cost and replicability.
Use the reference to approach other marina operators, ports, developers and waterfront destinations in Europe and beyond.
OPERATION RENAISSANCE
ART MARINAS™ connects Alexandre Mimoglou's urbanist, designer and entrepreneurial roles to a measurable waterfront mobility business.
ART MARINAS™ is being developed as a candidate market-expansion proposition for the call, subject to final thematic, SME and end-client fit. The commercial proposition progresses independently of any funding result.
The commercial route is larger than the grant: paid marina and waterfront studies, mobility/wayfinding systems, visitor-flow optimisation, public-realm integration and replication across operator portfolios and developments.
CONNECTED EURAN INFRASTRUCTURE
The European proposal is one accelerator inside a wider commercial and intellectual system.
