The Hour of Greece is a cultural and curatorial activation conceived by Alexandros Mimoglou as a light, elegant, and distributed gesture inside major international yachting fairs. It was first imagined during the Monaco Yacht Show in 2025 and is presented here as an independent proposal for BOOT Düsseldorf 2026.

Greece is one of the world’s most important yachting destinations — the leading superyacht charter region in the Mediterranean and a global reference for maritime culture. Yet its presence at international fairs remains fragmented. Greece appears everywhere in the industry, but nowhere as a unified, coherent, culturally intelligent identity.

The Hour of Greece proposes a new model: a symbolic moment of visibility that reveals the coherence of Greece’s maritime ecosystem without requiring infrastructure, pavilions, or institutional commitments.

Participation is voluntary and free. Exhibitors connected to Greece — marinas, shipyards, designers, brokers, charter operators, service providers, and international companies with Greek clients or operations — may display the visual identity of the activation at their stand. At a chosen moment, such as 14:00 CET, the visuals appear simultaneously, creating a Mediterranean pulse inside the fair.

BOOT Düsseldorf, the world’s largest yacht and watersports exhibition, offers an ideal platform for this gesture. With more than 200,000 visitors, 1,500 exhibitors, and a strong Mediterranean presence in Halls 6 and 7a, the fair naturally aligns with the cultural logic of The Hour of Greece.

The Hour of Greece also serves as an entry point to the broader EURAN Art Marinas program — a long‑term cultural vision positioning marinas as open‑air cultural infrastructures.
